Hiding the default menu from the default page in joomla has been just made easy! Tutorials2learn.com recently released a joomla plugin, JHideMenu to hide the default menu item from the default page.

You can easily hide the home page menu from the home page without any coding. Just download JHideMenu, install it and publish it from the plug-in manager.
